I'm Home .......

Just a quick post to say hello.... I've missed my blogging friends and have been visiting a few blogs today to catch up on all of the wonderful art that has been created whilst I was on holiday in Hong Kong.... some fantastic art out there!!! The picture below was hanging in the foyer of the hotel we stayed at in Mongkok and I just loved it. Couldnt find out who the artist is, but love the cheeky round faces of the chinese children ... so thought I would share it with you. So cute and quirky. I love Asian art, and this was something a little different to the usual asian themed art I have seen.
Hopefully over the next few days I will have some art of my own to share with you all. I am looking forward to getting back into my Soul Journal (very much in catch up mode) and a page for the fabric round robin I am involved in.
I had a wonderful time in Hong Kong.... the Olympics were electric!!!! My son Matt did Australia proud coming 21st overall in the Showjumping, and jumping his way into both the team and individual finals - we are SO PROUD of him and his horse Leconte. Thanks to all of my blogging friends who wished him well and checked his progress along the way - we appreciated your support.

Take care and happy arting!

Welcome back my friend! I love the painting you shared and am sure it was even more beautiful in real life.

Matt did SO well in his first olympics and I am sure his light will continue to shine. I enjoyed hearing all about his experiences
(and yours)when we chatted.

It was lovely to catch up yesterday - I had a special time. And of course loved the buttons (which I didn't lose this time!) and the fabrics I bought. And the special gifts you gave me (such a generous and loving friend you are).

Hope you have had a good Sunday and that your animal menagerie havs been good company...much love to Tink (and a smooch for big Leroy, cute Oakey and little Phoebe too).

Big congratulations to your son!
I love the painting in this post. It reminds me of the little people on chinese pincushions. (The silk pumpkin with all the little people holding on around the edge)
