Home again, home again ......

It's lovely to be home again.... I have been away visiting my mother in law in Dubbo, central New South Wales. Over the next few months Norma will be having treatments so there will be a few trips over the coming months. Norma is a very artistic woman, so we had a lovely time together. So if I'm away from my blog here and there.... I will only be visiting with Norma. Spring tulips and freesias.
We are having some wonderful spring weather down here in Australia (and some very wet and windy days too). Just wanted to share these beautiful springs blooms with all my blogging friends...I took this photo in one of my still life classes. So beautiful, I can just about smell them looking at this picture again.

I havent been creating this past week or so, so I thought I would share this photo of the very first art doll I made for a swap about 2 years ago (my friend Dot owns this little girl). The theme for my doll was spring so I thought she needed a showing this spring. She is a pretty wild girl with that hair and her little crocheted scarf. Lovely to look back....
I hope you are all enjoying this mild season (whether it be spring in our hemisphere or autumn the other side of the world).

    Oh yor spring blossoms are glorious Jacky!! I do so love Fressia's!!
    Your little grreen Spring Girl is wonderful!! No surprise that the Queen Of Green- (Our Dot )cares for her now!!!! Your Klimt Dolls are the best ever though!!!!
    I am sending all sort so best wished to your MIL and hope taht her treatments go well and that she recovers right as rain!!! With you around she can't miss!!

    Thank you for the flowers, they are sooooo beautiful. I can't believe that that was your first art doll! She is so perfect and I believe resides happily with many doll friends in Dot's home. I'm wishing your MIL successful treatments and fast recovery. xo

    jacky, it's so funny to read about lovely spring weather as we're having our first cold weather here. i really love being able to experience opposite seasons at the same time of the year!

    The spring bouquet is so lovely, I can almost smell it all the way up here! Your dolls are always so adorable. I love the colors and embellishments on this first one. So sweet!

    Hello Jacky, thanks for stopping on by. You must have just missed my new post about my holiday - I must have been writing it while you were perusing!
    Lovely art doll - I went through a big phase (we're talking at least 7 years) of making art dolls. In fact, speaking of a blast from the past, I visited Jill Maas (art doll maker extraordinaire, here in NZ) about a month or so ago and that visit really gave me another taste for it.

    Hi Jackie, Thanks for stopping by and your lovely message.
    Yes, things have been happening in my world - so I've been neglecting my Blog and my Art (although I have been doing a little knitting and my garden is looking better after a couple of weeks back at home).
    I'd been in Adelaide for a couple of months to be with my Dad, who was in hospital. I was lucky to have my sister and her family too, and my family were able to come over for some of the time. So it was a very special time to be together; Dad died in august.
    (and yes i have been blessed to have lots of people and things to comfort me).
    Anyhoo - life goes on (as it does) and slowly slowly I'll start to get back into things, I'm really hoping that soon I'll be inspired to pick up a paintbrush and make something relevant or interesting or healing or something !

    It was so much fun, and Elizabeth is very inspiring....
    I'm off to buy some books that she reccomended!....
    I love the scarf I made, and was thrilled to be able to see what Jo and Ro made, as their's were so wonderfully designed!....
